Under Len’s leadership, the business grew over the next 20 years into the company it is today by consistently adding value to our clientele. The company started with a simple idea: to deliver practical engineering solutions rooted in real-world experience. No unnecessary complexity — just good work done by good people. That philosophy built our company, and it still shapes how we operate today.

From our earliest projects to our continued expansion, our focus has always been to offer full-service Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management support with a people-first mindset. Dylan Rautenstrauch

Dylan initially joined in 2024 as Vice President and Partner to develop the engineering division of Fundamental Technologies, shortly after leading to the rebrand “Fundamental Engineering”. This rebrand is a symbol that builds on the 20yr legacy, while setting the strategic growth and future as Fundamental Engineering.
Dylan’s experience as a Professional Engineer has been grounded in Production, Operations and Facilities Engineering within Oil and Gas. He brings a strong understanding of the business and economic drivers of each client. A combination of facility design, management of change, process safety, project management, and construction management positioned to guide the Fundamental Engineering Team.

Len Power, R.E.T., founded Fundamental Technologies in July 2005. Len delivers a diverse scope of qualifications including design, supervision and construction management. This distinct background coupled with over 25 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, further enriches Len’s proven ability to inspire and drive the fundamental team towards exceptional service and quality that achieves successful project outcomes.
Len’s productive strategy has grown Fundamental to provide services ranging from project management; land and regulatory; to construction supervision and management. His direct approach and strong leadership, paired with his exceptional team, supports and contributes towards an unwavering commitment to continual improvement through industry development in Northwest Alberta.
